About the Artist

Manpreet Singh (he/him/they/them) is a Sikh author and spoken word artist. They were born in California on September 24, 1994 as Manpreet Kaur Sekhon. He self-published his first poetry book Singh is Queer on April 20, 2018. In 2019, they graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Ethnic Studies, specializing in Genders and Sexualities in communities of color from California State University, East Bay. Manpreet has majored in Mathematics and continues studying in STEM. They founded the Sikhs Are Queer podcast and rebranded it in 2022. They released their first single for their record label, soliDAREity in 2021.
